Why she gets up in the morning…
Marie is determined to be part of an excellent accounting team that brings success to businesses, beyond the realms of imagination. Marie is passionate about changing lives and is keen to work with the team of highly qualified accountants here at RJS, continue her life-long learning and to help your business thrive.
Marie moved to the Sunshine Coast from Victoria with her husband, during 2023 for our Queensland lifestyle. She has two daughters and seven grandchildren who thankfully visit regularly. When she is not working, you will likely see her walking along the river.
Why she is such an asset to you…
Having completed her Bachelor of Accounting from LaTrobe University, Melbourne in 2021, Marie has a wealth of practical experience in finance and accounting and is an associate member of CPA and IPA Australia. Her previous work history saw her start with basic bookkeeping and accounting before progressing to senior roles in financial and management accounting. Marie has led a range of businesses, from the corporate world, community organisations and individual businesses for over 20 years. She has also run her own business for over 15 years, giving her an insight, providing a bookkeeping and accounting service to lawyers, designers, builders, property managers and entrepreneurs, to name a few. She joined RJS during July 2024, specialising in client accounting systems and Business Activity Statements. Sadly, she is a Collingwood supporter, but – like Scott – we’ll work on converting her to being a West Coast Eagles fan over time!
